Arts Education
In many disadvantaged urban areas, children and teens lack access to the kinds of rich and ongoing experiences with the arts that are available to young people from higher income communities, both in school and outside of the classroom. Public schools (often working with nonprofits, government agencies and others) as well as afterschool and summer programs all have a role to play in ensuring that high-quality arts education is available to all young people.
