Large and well organized areas of the kindergarten with gymnasium, sleeping rooms, dining room, classrooms, cloakrooms, speech therapist's office, director's office and teachers, indicate the care that exists for pre-school education.
After the host ceremony, the meeting was carried out with the final guidelines of our common model for quality indicators and the evaluation criteria for the learning process and other current issues regarding our project.
Visiting local schools, such as kindergarten Carlsons and the high school of Slampe consisting of 35 rooms and separate buildings for every subject, have strengthened our belief that Latvia takes care and ensures the education of children.
On the second day at the end of the works the Mediterranean partners were pleasantly surprised during their walk on the beach of the Jurmala resort, next to the Baltic Sea: the frozen waves and other smaller ones stretching across the sand had created a spectacular, winter lacy sculpture,
The works of the transnational meeting ended with the definition of the final actions conserning the organization of the International Congress in June in Estonia.
On the last day after, a guided tour to “Madara”, a 60-year-old kindergarden, Tia Zirina, a professor of pedagogical studies at the University of Riga, organized a workshop " for the participants of the project entitled "Outdoor Learning”.
Our stay at the Latvian capital ended with a visit to the country library-a true work of art-and the old town of Riga.
